Shipment Management

Automated Shipment Management bullet points

LTL

Most LTL carriers have a high level of sophistication in their data capabilities

Integration with any platform containing shipment data

Fields populated through integration or can be hand entered or bulk uploaded

LTL carrier rates are compared. Tendering can be manual (presumably by reviewing freight costs)

Automated tendering is also offered by any range of parameters

Pickup requests are electronic to LTL carriers

Tracking is established electronically and warnings are presented for delays

Final actualized cost is automatically compared to estimated costs and variances are flagged for review

LTL carrier invoicing is received electronically and can be sent to any accounting software for settlement

Reporting is only limited by your imagination

TL

Truckload carriers often do not have the same sophistication of LTL carriers thus we offer and electronic and what we call assisted data exchange through automated email with links that place data back into the TMS

Integration with any platform containing shipment data

Fields populated through integration or can be hand entered or bulk uploaded

TL carrier rates are compared based on rate tables or through interrogating carrier server

Spot market quotes are gathered through email and stored

Tendering can be manual (presumably by reviewing freight costs) point and click

Automated tendering is also offered by any range of parameters through communication with carrier server or automated email including waterfall tendering (gives a TL carrier only so much time to accept the load before it is offered to the next carrier)

Pickup requests are electronic or email to TL carriers

Tracking is established electronically or through automated email and warnings are presented for delays

Tracking can also be linked to satellite or cell phone tracking systems

Final actualized cost is automatically compared to estimated costs and variances are flagged for review

TL carrier invoicing is received electronically or uploaded by the carrier into the system (makes things paperless) and can be sent to any accounting software for settlement

Reporting is only limited by your imagination

All installations (LTL & TL) have sophisticated address book where specific needs of the shipping or receiving location can be stored. A for instance would be inside delivery or lift-gate as an examples. Hours of operation contact names and email addresses, phone numbers, directions etc.

All installations have carrier manager for contracts, rates (when they are only available in a table) licensing and insurance and other carrier specific data. This can be linked to insurance and safety monitoring systems.
